Marshall Harber is a dynamic household staff agency. All our consultants have worked previously in domestic service and held household management positions giving them a unique understanding of the private staffing industry. We are here to provide advice and as much information as possible to allow you to make the right choice when selecting domestic staff for your home. Our consultancy services for the recruitment of house staff are free of charge until a placement has been confirmed.
Domestic Staff - Suitability of Candidates
All of our candidates are invited to interview with one of our consultants and their work history is thoroughly researched by obtaining employment references. We will always endeavour to only submit CVs for candidates with the necessary capabilities, experience and character for the position being offered. Marshall Harber can also provided a criminal records or police check on household staff if the client will require one for the vacancy being offered. Please ask your consultant for costs and details.
Domestic Staff - Database
We have an extensive database of registered household staff which allows us to select only the best candidates for your vacancy. CVs will not be sent out to clients unless our consultants are confident that they meet the requirements of the role being advertised.
Domestic Staff - Home Visits
Marshall Harber can provide a more personal and discreet consultation regarding your full staffing requirements where a consultant will visit your home to make a complete assessment of your situation. They will advise accordingly on the best staffing solution for your home. Home consultations are only offered to clients engaging Marshall Harber's services on a sole agency basis. Overseas consultations are available by special arrangement.
Domestic Staff - Advice
Marshall Harber's consultants have many years of experience both working in private households and in the recruitment of domestic house staff. We are here to advise you on any aspect of the recruitment procedure. We can provide you with best practice information on interview procedures, market rate salaries, draft contract templates, security, as well as information on Tax and National Insurance issues such and how to go about setting up as an employer of private staff and managing your payroll.
Domestic Staff - Service Guarantee
Marshall Harber is confident that our consultancy service will result in a long standing working relationship between the client and candidate but to provide extra peace of mind we also offer a replacement guarantee on all permanent placements covering the first three months of the candidate's employment. The Service Guarantee is subject to our Terms and Conditions of Business and is not available on the placement of Yacht Crew. Our aim is to build a committed relationship with our clients that results in a lasting relationship with their staff.
Domestic Staff - Confirmation and Payment
Once a placement has been confirmed to the agency, an invoice will be raised for the consultancy services provided. We request that all invoices be settled within seven days of the date of invoice. This must be strictly adhered to for our replacement guarantee to apply.
Domestic Staff - Post Placement Policy
Marshall Harber's service does not end once a placement has been made. Our consultants are available to both clients and candidates alike for advice and we are always available to discuss any issues that should arise during the course of a candidate's employment. Our policy is to follow up on the progress of placements and we work towards securing lasting working relationships.
