A Gamekeeper is responsible for the rearing and looking after animals, birds and fish which are bred for catching and shooting, such as pheasants, grouse, duck, deer, trout and salmon. The Gamekeeper assists with the hatching and incubation of bird's eggs as well as setting and maintaining traps for pests and controlling vermin such as rabbits, squirrels and foxes. The Gamekeeper undertakes the culling of deer. He prepares the estate for the shooting season, and often assists on shooting days by organising beaters and other staff. All our Gamekeepers have a vast knowledge of their profession, and many years experience.
