- Live In Housekeeper required for family of 5. Three children aged 5 (boy), 3 (girl) and 1 (girl) residing in a 5 bedroom house with one dog so you must be pet and child friendly. There is a full time nanny employed Monday to Friday. You must be a self-starter and be proactive as the parents are both professionals and do not work from home. Experience with children would be beneficial but not essential. You must be a driver with own car and have good spoken English with previous experience in a similar role. DBS check required.
Duties
Hands on housekeeping
Cleaning the whole house. Organising extra cleaning staff to do this, when needed.
Preparing the house for guests
Occasional food serving and turn-down when there are guests, and, again, organising extra help when required.
Organise house maintenance such as window cleaners/plumbers/electricians.
Food shopping and organising the fridge
Food prep and occasional basic cooking for the family
Washing and ironing, organising dry-cleaning . Nanny is responsible for the children’s laundry and ironing.
Organisation of linen cupboard
Dog walking and feeding
Fish tank cleaning (very basic tank)
Keeping the playroom tidy and toys organised
Making sure the house is backstopped with light bulbs, batteries etc
Occasionally being in charge of one or two children at weekends when parents go out.
Working Days/Hours: 5 days a week working 3 weekends a month, 9am to 7pm
Flexibility with hours as will sometimes need evening help when there are guests staying or a dinner party. Time off in lieu.
Accommodation: 2 bedroom cottage with small garden in nearby village. Pets and partner welcome.
Salary: £40K to £45K gross per annum depending on experience
Start Date: August 1st
