- THIS VACANCY IS NOW FILLED - Housekeeper (live-out/live-in) required for a prestigious, perfectly maintained five bedroom house in Knightsbridge with three reception rooms. You will be working for a young, busy professional couple who travel throughout the year. Your principal independent responsibility is to ensure their home is kept to an impeccably high standard. The ideal candidate will have a professional disposition together with a helpful, “nothing is too much trouble” approach to day-to-day duties. You will be entirely responsible for the general management and upkeep of the house. This covers but is not limited to cleaning to the required standard including vacuuming, polishing, dusting, cleaning of bathrooms, changing bed linen, maintaining impeccable kitchen hygiene standards, caring for laundry including bed linen, ironing, running errands, grocery shopping and supervision of garden maintenance. Maintenance staff are employed.
From time to time you will be required to cook breakfast, to help with serving refreshments to guests and, on occasion, to assist the part time chef by generally helping at small dinner parties.
On these occasions you are expected to be smartly but discreetly dressed.
The successful candidate will have a pleasant, positive demeanour, relevant experience in a similar environment, a scrupulous eye for detail, be pro-active and flexible, enjoy working on their own but having the ability to collaborate well with others good-humouredly is essential.
Occasional weekend and evening work will normally be indicated in advance and compensated by time off in lieu.
Non-smoker.
Working Hours/Days: Monday to Friday, 8 am – 4 pm.
Salary: £600net - £800 net per week depending on live in or live out and previous experience.
Accommodation: Separate, one bedroom flat nearby.
Start Date: November, December, 2022 (Can be earlier for right candidate)
