- Description
- Live In or Live Out Housekeeper required for UK-based couple with 1 dog and 1 cat. You will report to the head housekeeper and will have responsibility for carrying out the roles normally associated with that of the housekeeper role.
You will need to have relevant experience, initiative, be organised, efficient and confident in all aspects of carrying out the normal housekeeping and laundry operations of a reasonably sized residence run to a very high (5 star hotel) standard.
You will be working as part of an internal team of 4 and should speak good English.
You will need to be cat and dog friendly as maintenance and care of the couples pets is an aspect of the job. The owners travel frequently and when the owners are travelling you may have responsibility for overseeing care for the house pets.
Willing to travel with the couple on occasion would be a plus as would an ability to cook.
Requirements
• Proven 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Excellent laundry and wardrobe management skills.
• Precise with great attention to detail .
• Flexible in approach.
• Not a “clock watcher”.
• Able to work autonomously.
• Be physically Fit - both houses on the property are on several levels and require active personnel.
• Pet friendly
• A good communicator.
• A non smoker
• Holding a full driving licence
• Ideally computer literate to maintain laundry inventories.
• Familiar with ordering items on-line.
• Courteous and polite - understand professional but discreet service requirements and “front of house” image.
• Smartly dressed and neatly turned out at all times.
• Of a good-humoured and cheerful disposition.
Working Days/Hours: 5 day week with a half day on alternate weekends, 9.30am to 6.30pm Saturday 9.30amto 12.30pm
Accommodation: Separate flat or cottage provided
Salary: £35 to £38K depending on experience and skills.
