- Description
- Live Out Housekeeper x 2 required for a fully staffed high profile family home with 2 adults and 3 children and 5 dogs. The dogs will not be your responsibility but you must be comfortable with pets in the home. There are 7 ensuite bedrooms set over 4 floors with an indoor swimming pool, games room and several reception rooms set in beautiful surroundings. You will be required to work a 5 day week on a rolling shift pattern. 8am to 6pm. 9am to 7pm or 10am to 8pm. To make it fair for everyone the weekend cover will be required sometimes. This is a fully staffed close knit friendly team of staff. House manager, live in nannies, head housekeeper, chefs, gardeners, PA’s and a security team.
The Duties will be:- Working closely with the house manager, head housekeeper, and other housekeepers to ensure that high standards are met
- Ensuring that all areas of the house are clean & tidy at all times
- Cleaning/care of luxury furniture and artwork
- Advising the head housekeeper of any items requiring specific attention or repair
- Making sure all bedrooms are kept clean and tidy, with beds having fresh sheets regularly
- Ensuring all bathrooms are kept clean and that high levels of hygiene are maintained
- Undertaking wardrobe management, laundry and outsourcing to dry cleaners
- Care and cleaning of silverware/brass using the correct methods as requested
- To manage the kitchen and larder areas and ensure that they are kept clean and tidy and high levels of hygiene are maintained at all times
- Care and basic maintenance of all cleaning and laundry equipment
- Running occasional errands as required
Solid experience in a private household is essential.
You should have previous experience working as a housekeeper within a private household. The family enjoy 5* hotel standards in their home; therefore, you should be a skilled and confident housekeeper. You should be a strong team player and have a positive can-do attitude and be discreet at all times.
The family have additional homes overseas. If you would like to travel with them that would be an added bonus but not essential.
Working Days/Hours: pattern. 5 day week on a rolling: shift 8am to 6pm. 9am to 7pm or 10am to 8pm. To make it fair for everyone. Some weekend work will be required. Lunch provided by chef.
Salary £40 to 45,000 gross per year. Overtime paid extra or time off in lieu
