Part Time Housekeeper - Chigwell, London

Part Time Housekeeper required.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly professional Housekeeper to support a formal private household in Chigwell on a part-time basis. The role is working within a well-presented three-storey family home with five bedrooms, occupied by a family of three who regularly host guests.

This position is suited to a skilled private household Housekeeper rather than a general cleaner. Previous experience in a similar private household setting is essential, and hotel experience would be advantageous. A full-time Housekeeper is already employed Tuesday to Saturday, so this role will provide dedicated cover for Sunday and Monday.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining excellent standards of housekeeping throughout the property
• Dusting, vacuuming and polishing to a high standard
• Sanitising kitchens and bathrooms
• Managing laundry and ironing
• Changing beds and ensuring bedrooms are beautifully presented
• Providing an evening turn-down service
• Supporting the smooth running and presentation of the household, particularly when guests are staying

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Housekeeper within a private household
• A strong understanding of formal household standards
• Excellent checkable references
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A proactive approach with the ability to take pride in every detail
• A good command of the English language
• Hotel experience would be advantageous but is not essential

This is a fantastic role for a discreet, experienced and highly organised Housekeeper who is confident working within a formal private household and committed to delivering consistently high standards.

Working Days/Hours: Days: Sunday and Monday

Hours: 8:00am to 8:00pm

Salary: £20–£25 per hour, depending on experience
