- Description
- THIS POSITION HAS NOW BEEN FILLED - Live In or Live Out Housekeeper required for a family of 3 in a high end residence close to Virginia Water train station. This can also be a couples position if partner is an experienced gardener. The two children and aged 15 and 16. And there are 4 dogs. You will be working alongside one other housekeeper ensuring the residence is kept to a high standard. A driving license is essential for this position due to running errands however it is only a short walk to the train station. The main duties will be:
- Cleaning and tidying the interior of the entire home to a superior level of cleanliness and hygiene
- Assisting with food prep and cleaning, tidying and organising the kitchen, butler’s pantry and wine room including appliances and equipment after meals
- Keeping the refrigerator, pantry and cupboards clean and discarding out-of-date items
- Making beds, changing bed linens and bath towels
- Collecting, washing, ironing and returning laundry to the appropriate place
- Managing wardrobes
- Mending clothes
- Arranging dry-cleaning
- Cleaning interior windows
- Answering door and phone
- Managing deliveries
- Running errands
- Feeding and exercising pets when needed
- Watering household plants and flower arranging
- Assisting with preparation for dinner parties and special events
- Handling petty cash
- Dealing with tradesmen, suppliers and contractors
- Managing security alarms
- Keeping patios, pathways and steps clean and tidy
- Maintaining stock of cleaning and household supplies
- Maintaining, cleaning and arranging servicing of all household large and small appliances
- Notifying the Employer immediately if anything is needing repair or is broken
- The successful candidate will be reliable, organised energetic and punctual and have good attention to detail and can take initiative.
Working Days/Hours: 8.30am to 5.30pm with occasional overtime and weekends required.
Accommodation: Separate large one bedroom flat
Salary: £50-60K per annum depending on experience.
