- Live In Housekeeper required for a mature couple residing in a 7 bedroom house set in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. You would be working alongside one other full time live out housekeeper and an estate manager and caretaker. Further to the main residence there is detached ancillary accommodation, along with swimming pool, tennis court, pool house set in 50 acres of paddocks, lawns and formal gardens. There are gardeners also employed. The house is located on the edge of a small village in a rural setting. All the accommodation has recently been redecorated/refurbished. This is a full time residence for the principals and guests stay on average once a month (in normal times). You will need to work with the other staff members seamlessly and to provide 7 day cover you will be asked to work every other weekend in rota with the existing staff members.
Housekeeper duties will include laundry and ironing, cleaning and upkeep of the main house and the 5 cottages, changing bedding, shoe cleaning and taking deliveries and messages. You will be required to occasionally assist the principal with meal planning and preparation. Also shopping (mainly online). You will be required to work with the gardener to arrange freshly cut flowers to be displayed throughout the property. You must have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role with excellent spoken and written English, non-smoker, clean driving license.
Days/Hours of Work: 5 days a week. 8 am to 5 pm, on a Rota with the existing housekeeper to cover two weekends a month
Salary: £40 to £45K gross per annum, depending on previous experience.
Accommodation: Separate private newly refurbished furnished 2 bed accommodation with private garden. Sorry, no dependents or pets but partners welcome.
