Live In Domestic Couple - Yorkshire

Housekeeper and Gardener Handyman required for estate in East Riding of Yorkshire.  

The couple have two boys so there will be occasional school runs.  At times the 12 year old will need your presence “baby sitting”, and driving will be necessary for social occasions when held away from the house.

The HK will assist with social gatherings, the lady of the house is very hands on, so you will work together to ensure preparation and service run smoothly.

The estate has a game keeper for the shooting parties and there are 8 acres of gardens, the details of which will be outlined at interview.  Gardening is the main role with general maintenance and driving.    They have been in residence for over 20 years so the grounds are mature and beautiful.

The house has 7 beds and 7 baths with swimming pool, Gym, outside kitchen for barbeques etc. and a large drawing room. 

There is a pony and a friendly gun dog, a Labrador.

You MUST have worked as a couple before and be happy to be in Yorkshire.  The H.K. must be a true professional with good laundry skills and product knowledge, able to care for fine items with little supervision so building trust and respect over time.  The gentleman must be confident with garden tools and machinery and understand the care of formal and informal gardens. 

Working Days/Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm 8am to 5pm. If extra hours are worked then time off in lieu.

Accommodation: You will have a 3 bed lodge where you are welcome to have a pet, there is even a dog kennel if the dog is a working one.  It is unfurnished with white goods supplied

Salary: £60,000 negotiable for experience couple.
