Live In Butler required for a HNW family in West London who are seeking an experienced, polished Live-In Butler with the focus on security and child care for their 9 year old son.
This is a long-term role for a calm, confident, and highly professional candidate who can maintain excellent standards, ensure the child’s safety and well being, and support smooth family routines with discretion and care. Their son is very sporty so essential that you are fit and energetic and also enjoy sporting activities. There is a full time housekeeper already employed.
Key Responsibilities:
Butler & Household Support (Security-Focused)
- Maintaining a safe, secure, and well-run household environment
- Managing arrivals, visitors, deliveries, and household access appropriately
- Supporting the family with day-to-day organisation and high standards of service
- Liaising professionally with household staff, contractors, and external services
- Ensuring discretion, confidentiality, and calm leadership at all times
Childcare (Primary Focus)
- Providing attentive, structured, development-focused care for a 9-year-old boy
- Supporting school routines, homework, and educational development
- Planning engaging, age-appropriate activities (sports, outdoor play, cultural outings)
- Encouraging independence, good manners, and emotional well being
- Escorting the child to and from school and extracurricular activities
- Acting as a positive role model while maintaining clear boundaries
- Coordinating with parents, tutors, and household staff to ensure consistency
- Ensuring the child’s safety, structure, and well being at all times
Cooking (Family & Child Meals)
- Preparing fresh, healthy, well-presented meals for the child and family as required
- Confidently cooking simple, nutritious child-friendly meals
- Supporting healthy eating habits and routines
- Assisting with food shopping related to meals prepared
Additional Duties
- Light child-related duties only (child’s laundry, organising school items, preparing for activities)
- Supporting active family routines during weekends or school holidays
- Household support may include oversight/coordination of family vehicles
- Occasional travel with the family
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Butler, Manny, or similar private household professional
- Strong background working with school-aged children
- Security-aware, calm under pressure, and naturally vigilant
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritise
- Warm, emotionally intelligent, and confident with boundaries
- Professional, discreet, reliable, and well-presented
- Fluent English (French speaker a bonus)
- Valid First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
- Legal right to work in the UK
- UK or EU passport preferred as the family travel regularly
Additional Desirable Skills
- Strong cooking ability (chef background a bonus)
- Recognised Personal Training qualification
- Experience in HNW/fully staffed households
- Confident driver (if required by the family)
Working Days/Hours: Wednesday to Sunday
